Thoughts

I was deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and super human being Clive. He was an ideal and efficient Westbere Sailing Opportunities team member and all round “good bloke”. I had the pleasure of meeting Clive at some non WSO events over the years and he was obviously as hard working, keen, highly regarded and liked by all in the same measure as us. I have missed him substantially since he was unable to join us at the lake and now I must look back at the happy memories of my time with Clive …. he was the sort of chap who you would always forgive for frequently getting one’s name wrong and so it is appropriate that I sign off with .. so long and thanks for being our friend, Geoff or Stephen or Alan ……

Clive was well liked and respected at Westbere Sailing Opportunities, we shared many yarns about our experiences. His favourite saying was " A flappy sail is not a happy sail" I've used it many times since and now that will bring Clive alive in my memory. You live as long as people remember you. Clive will be us at Westbere for years to come. Thanks to his wife and family for sharing with us and many people, young and old, with different abilities. A life well spent.
